EXPERIENCE

What’s it like to work on a project together?

I’m so glad you asked!

Pre-production & project details

  1. Project scope - How many spaces are we shooting? I allow myself roughly 60-90 minutes per space (obviously, that can be much lower for a small space like a powder room, and could be more for a large, open space that needs a lot of coverage). We'll build a schedule for the day and a shot list so we don’t miss anything.

  2. Contract agreements, Deposits, and Scheduling. This is pretty self explanatory. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the shoot cost is required to reserve your date.

  3. Photos or site visit - I get a better understanding of the space and the details you want to highlight or replicate. Cell phone Photos are VERY helpful for me - they tell me where the natural light is coming from, and give me a basic idea of how to photograph the space.

  4. Styling Plan - Meet with your stylist, and start building a plan with them, so on Photoshoot day, we are ready to go. I can make a few tweaks here and there, but I’m not a skilled stylist by any means. You are more than welcome to style the spaces yourself or bring a stylist to the shoot.

PHOTOSHOOT DAY

  1. Set-up - Any last minute styling adjustments can happen here as well (ie, live florals). We review the shot list one last time.

  2. Tethered shooting - I want to make sure you're going to be happy with every detail in every shot. I use a system that allows you to see exactly what's in the frame, including a live feed for easy styling adjustments.

  3. Continue shooting until we are finished for the day.

  4. Tear down

POST PRODUCTION

  1. Typically about a 2-week turn around.

  2. Photos delivered digitally in high quality format, per your requirements. Photos are released for download once the invoice is paid in full.
